Petrus is in co-own with Chantal Nault of Arcadia Newfoundlands, and owners Eric Bernier and Annie Corteau. Petrus was one puppy we were watching from the start, he had gorgeous bone, nice moderate angles and resembles his dad in many ways. We hope to see him follow in his footsteps with all he accomplishes!

His call name, Petrus, ties into his registered name, Cuvee Grand Cru, and carries a few layers of meaning. Petrus comes from the Greek petros, meaning "rock" - solid, steady, grounded - which fits his temperament perfectly. It's also a tranditional name across a lot of European cultures, which felt right for his lineage, On the wine side, Petrus is one of the most iconic Grand Cru wines from the Pomerol region. There's also a personal tie there - his dad Biscotti's family has some roots trace back to France near Lyon - so it was a nice way to integrate the French influence in the lines.
