Dec 29/25 update:

Shallan has once again scanned empty (not pregnant) —for the fourth time. Because of this, we’ve made the decision to spay her. As much as we were really hoping to have a litter and keep a girl out of her, the reality of being a Newf breeder is that it often comes with heartache, and this is not the first time we have has a nice girl with her championship and all her health clearances end up spayed with no progeny. She is such a gentle loving soul and will continue to be "daddy's little girl", pampered and fussing over any future newf babies that enter our household.

That means at this time we will aim for one more litter with Vivenna, and then our hopes will rest on the next generation - and whatever else the future may bring.
