To say I am excited to welcome this pup home is an understatement. I have loved his dam since she was five weeks old, and she's my favorite bitch in Canada. When Chantal shared her breeding plans with me I had to ask for a pup. Although I was hoping for a girl, when almost all boys popped out I decided a boy would be fine too!

Kaladin’s call name comes from The Stormlight Archive, which is where a lot of our names come from. His registered name had to be Beatles-related. If you know anything about Kaladin as a character, you know he has walked through more than his share of hardship, coming to breaking points a few times but inevitably he keeps getting back up. These lyrics from Blackbird fit him perfectly.

It also happens to be exactly 50 characters which is the CKC limit for registration names.

This registration name also feels so fitting for breeding newfoundlands. There are highs, but there are also plenty of hard moments. You fall, you learn, you grow, you get back up, and you keep going.

I am so grateful to Chantal for entrusting us with this boy. We are going to have so much fun together!
